Appearances
S5E3, Eldritch Fangs - Ruby Rust v Robbie Clark and the Hunger
(Cinder, with some lines tagged 02).
- An eldritch horror in Robbie’s backpack, connected to his spinal cord. Hundreds of tendrils (“700 arms”), most of them with mouths.
- Has no cloaca and an infinite stomach. Its aim is to unify all life into “one giant flesh sack” or “collective bio-consciousness.”
- Powers: sucks out poison, entombs Robbie (“the power of friendship”), drains a mountain through a taproot, camouflages as snow, spore polyps, fissure spikes.
- Items: the blue pill (survives six fatigue) and the rusty spoon (tetanus).
- The pair later insist on being called “the Hunger” or “the Hunger and the child.”
S5E7 — Ducks of Death — Robbie Clark & the Hunger v Bob the Barbarian
(Cinderblock Sally). An eldritch tentacle entity living in, or as, Robbie’s backpack, with an eye-hat and mouths and teeth that grow from its tendrils.
- Wants to merge all life into “a singular biomass” and “the eternal flesh.”
- Robbie calls it “a creature that defies space and time.” It says “I am made of the infinite.”
- Deliberately keeps Robbie from connecting with other people so it can wield him as a vessel. It mind-wipes him, possesses him, and calls him “my champion.”
- Destroyed: it melted into bubbling ichor after Robbie broke free, leaving only the backpack.
S5E9 — Patriotic Punch Up — Bob the Barbarian v Richard Knottley (Dick Twist)
Richard’s people “picked up a remnant of the hunger after the end of [Bob’s] last battle.”
S5E16, Chaos Royal (Season 5 finale), the first Chaos Royale (four-way)
(guest). An eldritch horror in a backpack of tentacles, eyes and teeth that seeks to unify all flesh into one mind.
- Overrides Bobby’s will. Its sayings include “if you can’t get them with honey, get them with mayonnaise” and “Join the new flesh.”
- Effectively immune to electricity. Can draw energy from the ground and form phones and tablets from tendrils.
- Fused with Copycat as her backpack and won. Swallowed Richard Knottley into its chorus.
