Appearances

S5E6 — American Amphibian — King Man Frog Bofus v Richard Knottley

(guest, unnamed in metadata).

  • Former Peloton instructor, banned from a couple of counties, from Denny’s (where the Peloton instructors meet with non-stationary bikes) and from Zumba; “the IHOP saw me coming.”
  • Online name Dick Twist, after his dance (also his signature move).
  • Wears a tinfoil hat (against Wi-Fi radiation), sunglasses, fake mustaches (he carries spares), American flag pants, later a fake beard and reading glasses.
  • Runs the conspiracy webinar/podcast “Knottley’s Real World”. Conspiracies: the Chinchillian government, the chinchilla/vole/mole cabal, the Nintendo Switch, lunar moths eating the ozone, eating our neighbors.
  • Financial advisor: Cricket, an old guy in Montana.
  • Claims six foot; actually 5’10½. Afraid of heights. Says he’s “very clearly a hot dog.”
  • Drove to the arena on his Peloton bike.
  • Rejected the blue pill (“I only take red pills”). Wore the Arbiter’s blue ring wrapped in a mustache.
  • Died of a “coronary”/“pulmonary” after his Peloton lightning heroic surge. Left a dead man’s switch recording.

S5E9 — Patriotic Punch Up — Bob the Barbarian v Richard Knottley (Dick Twist)

(Prototopics). An old man, “87” by his own claim and “98” by Thea’s.

  • Back from death: he died last time of a heart attack on his Peloton after 45 cheeseburgers, “about three weeks ago.”
  • Look: a removable, lopsided “real” mustache (Hercule Poirot style), an aluminum foil hat and sunglasses.
  • Running for president on the “Peloton party”:
    • Platform: dismantle a government of chinchillas wearing human skin, and stop the lunar moths eating the ozone layer.
    • Backers: a Big Peloton super PAC, Adidas, Payless, KB Toys and Toys R Us.
  • Peloton: describes his tie to the company as a Scientology-like lifetime job.
  • Powers:
    • Lightning from his Peloton, and “bolts of Wi-Fi” through his foil hat.
    • The Dick Twist special ability: a tuxedo-pants dance-off (crop circle clarification, chinchilla cha-cha, Bigfoot Boogie).
  • Frogs: a frog trapped in his orifice, “a gift from God King Bofidis / King Bulfus” (spelling uncertain). He hates King Bulfus and is “still traumatized from the frogs.”
  • Other details: colorblind for 42 years, tried keto. Has children (his own claim, in his death monologue).
  • Robbie: had Robbie imprisoned with a remnant of the Hunger, which ate Robbie on his death. He blames “guys who work for other guys who work for some black suits.”
  • This episode: killed by Bob. His ghost was netted by Thea and is being sewn back into his body by mages.

S5E10 — BoneBound Brawl — King Bofus v Bone Daddy (and Darcy)

(ghost). Bofus’s previous opponent: the Peloton thrower, a conspiracy theorist about the chinchilla government, wearing a tin hat and a tiny mustache. He left a “Kill Switch video.” His ghost appears through Bofus.

S5E14 — Froggy Style — Kyle Stoddard v King MAN FROG Bofus

Bofus’s late friend/enemy, already resurrected again per the Lord of Fate. His name triggers the tattoo’s heart-attack sound. That Dick Twist and Richard Knottley are the same person is inferred, from 0:56:18 “Is Richard Knottley having a coronary?” right after the Dick Twist heart-attack gag.

S5E16, Chaos Royal (Season 5 finale), the first Chaos Royale (four-way)

(guest).

  • Body and gear:
    • Revived so many times his body is now held together by Peloton parts, with a Peloton core as his heart.
    • A tattoo of his new name.
    • A port in his chest and a tinfoil/aluminum hat (now holding Copycat’s SIM card).
    • Peloton electricity and a chest “unibeam.”
    • Chinchillas live inside him.
  • Lore:
    • A conspiracy podcaster with an internet business, lost after Big Tuna; his commercial broke FCC rules.
    • In lawsuits with the FDA, with pending arrest charges and negative $13.
    • Believes in the Chinchilla government. Has a friend King Pophos in the afterlife.
    • Claims this was his third time in the arena and third consecutive death.
  • Consumed by the Hunger.

S6 Ep4 — Tip to Tip - Part 1 (TTRPG One Shot)

(RealLifeFakeWizard).

  • Conspiracy theorist. Believes the government is run by chinchillas, voles and small mammals; birds are government cameras; trees talk on the internet; Shakespeare was a time traveler.
  • Wears an aluminum foil hat (blown off by his own lightning). Carries a mason jar of body-warm pickle juice, poured out on the statue’s ankle monitor. Wears holey slippers.
  • Ex-Peloton instructor, fired over complaints. Plans the radio show After Dark with Dick Twist.
  • “Peloton powers”: friction electricity through his feet and hands.
  • Has nightmares of being controlled by chinchillas and of a frog creature spitting frogs.
  • Befriended the angel statue and promised to meet it at the third full moon of the year. Voted Killy leader.

S6E5, Tip to Tip - Part 2 (Richard Knottley v Richard S. Skelman, the leadership Deathmatch)

(special move “the Dick Twist”; the Arbiter calls him “Dick Twist”).

  • Character:
    • A conspiracy-minded man who “breaks boundaries and uncovers secret truths”: “Chinchillas run the government,” “taxation is theft.”
    • Says he dodges process servers. Has a glued-on fake mustache and a “hormone problem” (his complaint about the shirt).
    • Claims a “connection” with Peloton; he stole a prototype arc bike reactor from their factory.
  • Transformations this episode:
    • Lost his left arm, which Thea tore off and threw to Cookie Monster Steve. Its bones flew back to give him one regular arm and one bony arm.
    • The Peloton reactor melted away his flesh, leaving a Peloton-coated skeleton with the core as his heart.
    • Collapsed to a pile of bones, then re-formed as a ghost specter (losing his mustache and, as ghosts do, some memory).
    • Possessed Skelman briefly.
    • Was vacuumed up, thrown into the ether, merged into the statue, and called down a Peloton storm.
  • Faded/“ascended” into the universe on his fifth fatigue. Per the GM he returns “in his fleshy state next time around.”
